Connecting with others

Spending time with your friends, family and your community is a great way to look after your mental health. There are lots of groups in the community where you can socialise, make friends and go to events and fun activities as a group.

Social groups

The are lots of community-run social groups, activities and events.

A great way to meet new people is to bond over a shared interest.

Telephone befriending

If you or someone you know is lonely or isolated and would benefit from a weekly phone call, support is available.

In-person befriending

If you would prefer face-to-face companionship, Rainham Foodbank runs an in-person befriending service for people of all ages.

Giving back to your community is a great way to look after your own wellbeing. Do something nice for somebody, volunteer or maybe join a community group.
