The Ageing Well Empowerment Service gives adults aged 50+ living in Havering wellbeing support in the community. T

he service is commissioned by Havering Council and delivered by Age UK Redbridge, Barking and Havering in partnership with the British Red Cross and Age UK East London.

It brings together a wealth of expertise to support older residents in Havering.

What support is available?

Older residents will be able to access:

  • Support to navigate the health and social care system and access local services
  • Social activity groups
  • Health, wellbeing and nutrition advice
  • Digital skills sessions
  • Falls prevention advice and access to exercise opportunities to improve strength and balance.
  • Support with hospital discharge to a safe home environment (provided by our partner British Red Cross).
  • Support with small aids and equipment to improve home safety and independence (provided by our partner Age UK East London).
