Help finding a job

Find a job can be stressful. There are many services in Havering here to help you find the right job for you.  

Havering Works

Havering Works is a free service that helps local people who are out of work. If you’re looking for a job, training, or want to explore career options, they’re here to support you.  

 

  • One to one support: You’ll meet with someone who will listen to you and help figure out what skills or training you might need. 
  • Personal advice: A trained adviser will help you make a step-by-step plan to reach your goals. 
  • Job coaching: Get help with building confidence, staying motivated, and preparing for work. 
  • Extra support: If you need more specialist help, they’ll connect you with the right organisations. 
  • Job matching: They’ll help you find jobs that match your skills and experience. 
  • Job search help: Get support with writing your CV, filling out job applications, and preparing for interviews.

Volunteering

Volunteering can help you build new skills and meet new people. The Havering Volunteer Centre can support you to find the right volunteering opportunity for you.
