Mental health crisis support

If you, or someone you are with, is in immediate danger, call 999.

 

If you need to speak to someone, support is available:

  • Phone NHS 111 (option 2) or text 'Help' to 07860 009642.
  • Samaritans – a listening service which is open 24/7 for anyone who needs to talk. Call 116 123 free.
  • Shout – a free confidential 24/7 text service offering support if you're in crisis and need immediate help.

Support services are available for you to access, whatever you’re going through.

Support if you have communication needs

The 111 service is suitable for Deaf/hard of hearing people. On the NHS 111 website you can find information about:

  • Text relay
  • BSL support
  • Getting an interpreter if your preferred language isn't English

 

Residents can text 'Help' to 07860 009642 for urgent mental health support and a member of the NHS 111, Option 2 team will respond as soon as they can. 

Use the Stay Alive app

The Stay Alive app is a free app for people who are in mental health crisis or someone supporting someone in crisis can use.

 

You can download Stay Alive on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store for smartphones and tablets. The web version works like a website and you can use it on your smartphone, tablet and desktop or laptop computers.

Crisis Cafés

The Havering Reset Hub gives free mental health support for people aged 18 and above. It's a safe, inviting, and inclusive space where residents of Havering can simply turn up with no appointment necessary.

 

Support in other North East London Boroughs

The NELFT 24/7 Mental Health Crisis Assessment Hub in Redbridge is open for Havering residents to go to. You can use the Hub if you are over 18 and live in Redbridge, Waltham Forest, Barking & Dagenham, or Havering. You can reach us by calling, walking in, or through a referral from a health care professional.

 

The Listening Lounge in Barking & Dagenham offers a safe, welcoming space for individuals experiencing emotional distress.

 

The Redbridge Recovery Hub offers free mental health support for residents aged 18+.
