Losing someone close to you is one of the hardest things in life. When you're experiencing grief, there is always someone you can talk to.
There are people and groups that can help and support you.

Bereavement support for adults
When you face a bereavement it can be hard to know where to turn to. There are lots of national and local support services for bereaved adults:
- St Francis Hospice OrangeLine confidential telephone support.
- The Bereavement Journey at the St George's Hub
- Mourning Coffee at the YMCA
- Havering & Brentwood Bereavement Service - one-on-one counselling for adults.
- The Jolly Dollies - an organisation run by widows for widows.
- Muslim Bereavement Service - bereavement support for women.
- The Compassionate Friends - Support for bereaved parents and their families.
- Cruse bereavement support - Information, advice and support.
Bereavement support for children & young people
There are national and local
support services for bereaved children, young people and families:
- Grief Encounter - Support for bereaved children and young people.
- Winston's Wish - Support for grieving families and children.
Bereavement support for those bereaved by suicide
- Facing the Future run free online support groups for people bereaved by suicide, where you can talk through your feelings with others who have had similar experiences.
- Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SOBS) helpline - Call for support 0300 111 5065, the Support Line is open everyday 9am-7pm.
Support for those who have experienced pregnancy & baby loss
- Sands - Supporting anyone touched by pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.
- Sands United FC Essex - Football group for men affected by baby loss and pregnancy loss.
- Lullaby Trust - Aims to keep babies safe and support grieving families.
- Aching Arms - Bringing comfort after pregnancy and baby loss.
- The Miscarriage Association - Support for people affected by miscarriage, molar pregnancy and ectopic pregnancy.
Support after murder and manslaughter
- SAMM National - peer support services for those bereaved by murder and manslaughter.
