Call us free on 0808 800 8088 on Mondays and Thursdays, 7pm-10pm.
We’ll be here to support you on the helpline every Monday and Thursday between 7pm-10pm. We offer this support to people of any age and gender who are impacted by self-injury in any way – whether it’s something that affects you personally, or affects somebody you care about.
All phone calls are answered by volunteers who have received specialist training. You can talk about anything you want to and we won’t tell anyone you contacted us unless you or someone else is at risk of immediate harm and you give us information that could be used to identify you or them. We will never ask for this information.
We are only able to take calls during our opening hours. We aim to answer your call as quickly as possible, but we may be less available if the service is very busy. If you can’t get through, we advise waiting a little while then trying to call us again. We are often particularly busy at the beginning of a shift.
We’re here to offer emotional support around self-injury and anything else you might be going through, and you can talk about whatever’s on your mind. We aren’t an advice or information service, but we can support you to make decisions that feel right for you.
Our calls last for up to half an hour, and you’re welcome to speak to us for all the time available. If you decide to end the call at any point, we will respect your decision – you can use the service for as long or short a time as you need. As we aim to support as many people who need us as possible, we cannot answer two calls in one night from the same caller, unless the call is disrupted partway through.
Open Mondays and Thursdays, 7pm – 10pm.
All calls are taken by volunteers who have received specialist training.
If you don’t know how to start talking, just say “hello”.
