Cool Rowings is an initiative created by Weininger Irwin, the UK’s 1st Gladiator Champion. We are based in the welcoming Mercury Shopping Centre in our new Rowing & T – Shirt Shop ground floor.

Our mission is getting as many people into the sport of indoor rowing with a strategy of eventually (if participants want to) onto water

Simply put we are here to enrich and widen access to rowing, creating a culture that will spice up activity. We boast the current indoor British Champion & Record holder at 87 years young Mrs Hazel Parkins. Check out our FREE Youth Indoor Rowing sessions & our FREE Chair Based Exercise class for seniors (Ageless Teenagers)

We run the following classes:

  • Classes for children aged 3-12 – Saturdays at 11am (free) at The Mercury Shopping Centre
  • Classes for teens aged 13-24 – Tuesdays at 7pm (free) at The Mercury Shopping Centre
  • Classes for adults aged 18+ – Tuesdays at 8pm (£8 per person) at The Mercury Shopping Centre
  • Classes for seniors – Tuesdays at 11am (£5 per person) at The Mercury Shopping Centre
  • Free fitness class for children aged 4-12 (free) at the Ilford Exchange
