Some people are eligible for discounted travel. Find out if you're eligible and how to sign up.
Freedom Passes
Freedom Passes give Londoners aged 66 and over and disabled people free public transport across London and on local buses across England.
You can find the full eligibility criteria on the London Councils website.

Children & young people aged 0-25 get discounted travel

- Children under 5 travel free with a paying adult on London public transport.
- Children aged 5-10 travel free on London public transport using a 5-10 Zip Oyster photocard.
- Young people aged 11-15 travel free on London public transport using a 11-15 Zip Oyster photocard.
- Get free and discounted travel if you're 16-17 with a 16+ Zip Oyster photocard.
Discounts for over 18s
- Discounted travel if you're a student living in London with the 18+ Student Oyster photocard.
- Discounted travel for care leavers living in London aged 18-25 with the 18-25 Care Leaver Oyster photocard.
- People aged 18+ can get an Apprentice Oyster photocard for discounted travel in the first 12 months of their apprenticeship.
- Jobcentre Plus Travel Discount card for unemployed people looking for work.
- There are different railcards you can buy to get discounts on your travel across the UK. You can event get it added to an Oyster card for discounted London travel. The following people can get a railcard:
- 16-25 railcard
- 26-30 railcard
- Senior Railcard (for people 60+)
- HM Forces Railcard (for members of the Armed Forces or a spouse/civil partner of a member or Volunteer Reserves)
- Disabled Persons Railcard
