Community Hubs

Our Community Hubs offer free, in-person support and advice for residents who may need help accessing services or finding cost-of-living support.

What are Community Hubs?

Community Hubs are here to help you. The council run them with local partners. They bring lots of helpful services into one place. You can get:

  • Advice about money and benefits
  • Help finding a job or learning new skills
  • Support with using computers and the internet
  • Help with housing or council services
Two older adults, a woman and a man, sit close together at a table, smiling happily at the camera. The man’s arm is around the woman’s shoulders. The setting appears to be a community or social event.

Food support at the hubs

In partnership with Tapestry and Your Local Pantry, both hubs host Community Food Pantries offering over £20 worth of food for just £6. The pantries provide affordable, good-quality food and support physical and mental wellbeing. Hubs also serve fresh meals and offer advice on healthy eating to help residents stay active and connected.

There’s no need to book – just drop in during the opening times and speak to one of our team or partners. Whether you need help filling in a form, want to learn more about available support, or simply need advice, the hubs are here to help.

You can find out more about community food pantries and low-cost food options in Havering on our foodbanks, free food, and low-cost food page.
