Ageing Well Community Wellness & Empowerment Service

The Ageing Well Empowerment Service gives adults aged 50+ living in Havering wellbeing support in the community. The service is commissioned by Havering Council and delivered by Age UK Redbridge, Barking and Havering in partnership with the British Red Cross and Age UK East London. It brings together a wealth of expertise to support older residents in Havering.

This service will start on 1 February 2026.

What does 'Age Well' mean?

A smiling woman wearing glasses and a blue cap uses a tablet, sitting at a table with another person. Both appear engaged and happy, with books and a mug visible in the background.

'Age Well' is a term used in the NHS and Council. It describes how we want residents aged 50+ to live their best lives in the community, without needing long-term support from the NHS and social care where possible.

This services is not run by Live Well Havering, but by Age UK Redbridge, Barking and Havering in partnership with the British Red Cross and Age UK East London.
