About Live Well Havering

Live Well Havering is a partnership programme where Havering Council, the NHS, voluntary sector and other organisations in Havering work together to support residents' wellbeing.

We want to make it as easy as possible for you to find community events, activities and support when you need it.

Our values

A Live Well Havering Health Trainer smiles in front of the Live Well Havering banner. He is standing at a green stall and is smiling with his thumbs up.

We support all Havering residents - no matter your age, lived experiences or beliefs.

When you engage with us, we commit to being:

  • Resident-focused – we put you first and really listen to what you tell us.

  • Data-driven – we make decisions based on evidence. If what we’re doing isn’t working, we change it!

  • Accessible – accessibility is built into the foundation of our work; it is a priority,  not an afterthought.

  • Inclusive – we create sensitive and relevant resources for residents of all lived experiences, especially our marginalised communities.

  • Innovative – we actively seek better ways of doing things and come up with creative ideas to improve what we do.

  • Compassionate – we lead from the heart and empathise with the challenges our residents and colleagues are facing.
  • Trauma-informed – we are curious about how previous experiences impact people, and recognise that we need to consider what someone has been through to give them the best support possible.

  • Preventative - we know prevention is better than cure and work to support you to stay well for longer.

  • Empowering – we give you easy-to-understand information and support so you can make informed decisions about your health and wellbeing.

Our priorities

  • Connecting communities - Tackling isolation and loneliness through community cohesion, cultural celebrations and outreach activity.

  • Helping young people thrive - Supporting infants, children, young people and young adults to thrive in the borough, especially marginalised groups, such as SEND young people and their carers, care experienced young people, etc.

  • Promoting equity - Creating a fairer borough through programmes that support community cohesion, tackle discrimination, promote climate action and level the playing field for marginalised people.

  • Empowering action - Developing tools and systems that work together to support communities to thrive.
A smiling person wearing sunglasses and patterned clothes sits at an outdoor table with a blood pressure cuff on their arm, talking to someone standing nearby. Pamphlets and health materials are on the table.
Two women stand at an outdoor information stall, smiling and chatting. One woman is wearing sunglasses, a rainbow lanyard, and a sleeveless patterned top, while the other carries a handbag and holds a phone. The table is covered with leaflets and health-related materials, with a yellow tote bag and posters displayed in the background.
