The Emergency Assistance Scheme has been able to support many residents throughout the pandemic, putting food on the table, heating homes over winter and replacing broken washers, fridges and cookers thanks to the substantial investment provided by Havering Council. It will continue to support residents (pensioners, working age, including households with disabilities) through the increased cost of living where there is an urgent financial need. This scheme is funded by the UK Government’s Household Support Fund.
