Community Hubs are here to help you. The council and local partners run them. You can get lots of help in one place.
You can get:
- Information & advice
- Help with money and benefits
- Help with form filling
- Help to find a job or learn new skills
- Help to use a computer or go online
- Help with housing and council services
- Help to sign up to your local GP practice
- Support with blue badges
Regular services you can also speak to are:
- Community Resilience & Crisis Response team (every Tuesday and Thursday) – support includes benefits, housing advice, homelessness, Universal Credit, Freedom Passes, bus passes, bills and forms.
- Department for Work & Pensions (every Tuesday) – Employment support and advice. A Disability Employment Adviser from DWP attends weekly. (Please note DWP do not deal with benefit sanctions at the hub.)
- Havering Works (fortnightly on Thursdays) – support with employment and skills.
- oneSource Welfare team (monthly) – support for those in Council Tax debt.
- Safer Neighbourhood team (monthly) – Community safety advice and support.
- Change Grow Live (CGL – weekly) – support for those experiencing challenges around alcohol and drugs.
- Estate services – support around Council tenancies and housing related issues.
